In this guide we will go through setting up IRL Pro and OBS using our Video Ingest servers

To utilise the power of IRL Pro, we only recommend using SRT and NOT RTMP. This guide will only focus on SRT

Log into the client portal on a device which isn’t your streaming phone

Under “Your Active Products/Services” click on “Video Ingest – Video Ingest Server

Find “Scan QR Code to add to Larix, Streamcast Pro or IRL Pro

Where the screenshot shows “QR CODE” yours will display a QR Code.

Open the camera app on your phone (IMPORTANT: NOT IRL PRO) and scan this code with your device

Your phone should show something similar to above (Screenshot from Samsung S24 Ultra) – press it

It should give you an option to open with IRL Pro, select this and press Just once or Always. You may not get this screen.

IRL Pro will confirm if you want to import the settings, press OK

In the Lower Third, it will show something similar to the above

Press the Cog wheel in the Top Left corner

Press Connections

Confirm connection is checked in Outgoing Connection screen

You should see AntiScuffSRT with the SRT IP from the Client Portal


Adding the Media Source to OBS

Within the client portal you will see the above, copy it to clipboard as we will need it shortly

In YOUR OBS, click on the + icon, and Media Source

Name Media Source

In the box which pops up, put in a unique and rememberable name (1) and press OK (2)

Media Source Settings

Follow these steps:

  1. Untick “Local File
  2. Network Buffering – 1 MB
  3. Input – URL copied from Portal earlier
  4. Reconnect Delay – 1s
  5. Ensure “Use hardware decoding when available” is unchecked and the following are checked; “Show nothing when playback ends” and “Close file when inactive
  6. Press OK once done

IMPORTANT: Ensure your media source looks the same as the above, with the exception of number 3, which should be your URL from the dashboard!

Right Click Media Source - Transform - Stretch

Back in the Sources list, right click on the newly created Media Source (1), go to “Transform” (2) and click “Stretch to screen” (3)
