Supported Software and Network Usage Policy - Remote Desktop
Last updated: 2nd November 2025
Our Remote Desktop service is designed exclusively for IRL (In Real Life) streamers to produce and broadcast live video content to online platforms. To ensure the reliability, performance and security of our infrastructure, we limit the types of software that can be installed and supported.
Supported Software
We officially support the following applications for live streaming and production
- Open Broadcast Software (OBS)
- NOALBS
- Streamer.Bot
- SAMMI
- MixItUp
- Voicemeeter Banana
- Virtual Audio Cable
- Remote Desktop connection software
- Any software included when Remote Desktop is delivered
You may install other live streaming utilities for use with your live video streams. However, it should be noted that we cannot provide technical support for software outside of the list above.
Should there be software you need to use that is needed for your streams and is not listed above, please contact us via the Client Portal or Discord to see if we may be able to provide support.
OBS Plugins
We allow and pre-install, vetted and widely used OBS plugins. We may request the removal of any plugin that impacts performance or stability.
Unsupported Software
We do not support any form of online radio broadcasting, automation or custom scripting environments.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Custom coded scripts, software, Node.js, PowerShell or batch scripts running in the background
- Any software designed to run background loops, tasks or schedulers
Such tools can cause performance, security and stability issues.
Please note: If you require support for any Unsupported Software, we charge £100 per hour of support, billed in full hour blocks.
Prohibited Use
To protect all customers, and to maintain our network integrity, certain activities and software types are strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Cryptocurrency mining or blockchain processing
- VPN, proxy, or anonymisation services
- Network scanning or penetration testing tools
- DDoS, stress testing, or load generation tools
- File sharing, torrenting, or peer-to-peer software
- Any software which is designed to mask, manipulate, or reroute network traffic
This list is not exhaustive. We reserve the right to review and restrict any software or activity that negatively impacts security or network performance.
Monitoring and Enforcement
We run regular, automated checks for suspicious network activity and unauthorised software. If activity is detected we may suspend or terminate services without prior notice to protect other customers and to maintain our network reliability.
