anti_scuff_bot is a bot that any AntiScuff customer will find in their chat by default. The bot helps our customers interact with their Cloud OBS Hosting service. By interacting with the bot through set commands, the bot can start/stop stream, switch scenes and more.
How to add anti_scuff_bot to your channel
Any customer of AntiScuff will have anti_scuff_bot in their channel by default. There are a few exceptions to this rule:
- We offer a custom bot name service. This way the anti_scuff_bot will not be in chat, but instead you will find the custom named bot
- We offer a white-label bot service. The name of this bot is not anti_scuff_bot but CloudOBS. Both bots offer the exact same functionality
Is anti_scuff_bot dangerous?
anti_scuff_bot is the official bot of the AntiScuff Cloud OBS Hosting service. This bot performs functions that allow a streamer to interact with their streams. Functions include starting/stopping the stream, switching scenes and adjusting parameters that influence stream performance. The anti_scuff_bot is not dangerous and does not harvest any data.
Is anti_scuff_bot spam?
The anti_scuff_bot is not a spam bot, but a functional bot that offers a way for streamers to interact with their Cloud OBS Hosting service from AntiScuff.
Can I timeout or ban anti_scuff_bot?
If you are a current customer of AntiScuff and you don’t use a custom bot to perform actions, it’s strongly adviced to not ban the bot from your channel. Should you have cancelled your Cloud OBS Hosting service with us, then the bot will part from your channel automatically and with that, lose its Bot status.
What happens if I ban anti_scuff_bot?
If you are a current customer of AntiScuff and you have banned anti_scuff_bot, you can no longer start/stop stream. Also automatic scene switching will no longer work. Lastly, you cannot refresh or fix the stream anymore. Therefore it’s strongly adviced to not ban the bot from your channel. Should you have cancelled your Cloud OBS Hosting service with us, then the bot will part from your channel automatically and with that, lose its Bot status.
Will my Cloud OBS Hosting service work without anti_scuff_bot?
No, it won’t. Please keep the bot in your chat for as long as your Cloud OBS Hosting service is active with us.
